Our Extracts Laboratory specialises in the research, development and production of more than 400 extracts and aromatic distilled waters, using only eudermic solvents such as water, plant-derived glycerine (preferably certified organic) and organic sunflower oil.
When it comes to procuring raw materials, we primarily rely on our botanical garden, where we cultivate a large variety of organic herbs that thrive in our climate, such as mint, rosemary, sage, lavender and wormwood, as well as vegetables, fruits and flowers. We also source from our subsidiary Erbamea, our trusted supplier of plant-based raw materials.
We rigorously analyse all plant-based raw materials to ensure their quality and safety. A key example of this is the multi-residue analysis of pesticides, which is carried out to rule out the presence of 300 different plant protection products.
These ingredients are processed directly on site, in our Extraction Laboratory: here, our team of professionals draws on its expertise to concentrate the “soul” of the plants and separate the active ingredients that make our cosmetics unique and special from the inert matrix. The more than 400 extracts and distilled waters produced in-house are the key ingredients that characterise our cosmetics, researched and formulated by our Research & Development Laboratory.
