For our product packaging, we favour mono-material solutions or combinations of materials that can be easily separated.
Our plastic packaging
We are continually exploring new technologies that enable us to source high-performance packaging made from recycled or plant-based plastics.
PLANT-BASED PLASTICS
• Green PE
A material made entirely from sugar cane – a plant-based, renewable resource – used mainly for tubes.
• Green PET
A material 30% derived from sugar cane, used mainly for bottles.
RECYCLED PLASTICS
• R-PET
A material obtained by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles, used mainly for our own bottles.
• R-PE for tubes
• R-PP for jars
Our paper materials
Another important choice has been to use paper certified to Forest Stewardship Council® standards across all our paper products, including packaging, calendars, diaries, brochures, leaflets and catalogues. This international non-governmental organisation promotes responsible forest management and traceability of forest-based products across the supply chain. We were among the first Italian cosmetics companies to display the prestigious Forest Stewardship Council® mark.
All of our paper bags are made using wood sourced from protected, controlled and FSC®-certified forests. They are printed with water-based inks. Since 2021, we have chosen to offer our summer fragrance collections without paper cartons, including Coconut, Calabrian Citron, Pistachio, Fig and Black Cherry.
Innovative technologies and choices
To improve sustainability and reduce the amount of materials we use, we have introduced products with refillable packaging, including the Face Creams in the ActiveCollagen line, Shower Gel refills and refills for our Fragrances for Scented Wood Sticks. For many of our face creams, we have chosen airless plastic bottles that fully protect the product and make it easier to dispense. This reduces the amount left in the bottle and allows you to use more than 95% of the product.
Since 2021, we have chosen to offer cosmetics without paper boxes for our summer fragrance lines — examples include the Cocco, Cedro di Calabria, Pistacchio and Fico collections.
Continuing our commitment to sustainability and reducing material consumption, we have launched products with refillable packaging, such as the Face Creams in the CollagenAttivo line, the Ecoricariche Shower Gels and the Refills for Fragrances for Scented Woods. Thanks to these solutions, you can surround yourself with beauty while showing extra care for the environment!
